Why We Founded Above Expected Goaltending
Brennan Poderzay and Jared Waimon founded Above Expected Goaltending (AEG) to deliver a summer camp that actually addresses the two areas goaltenders can improve their performance for the upcoming season: their foundation and key details.
AEG has made a key recognition. During the summer goaltenders are often stuck working on situations that are primarily dependent upon the team environment rendering their time less purposeful. At an AEG camp goaltenders spend their time understanding the key scoring situations that all goaltenders face regardless of level and executing upon the foundation and “details that differentiate.”
Our guiding principles are:
Your foundation is what you have to rely on when the moment is difficult.
Your details are how you differentiate yourself.
